The reveal of Max being MADMAX in Stranger Things and how little the guys believed that a girl could be beating them at an arcade game was far too real. Real enough to warrant the hashtag #2real, girl gamers have always gotten a crappy hand and rep, and most of the time, video games have only one female character to every three guys. (I made up that statistic based on the Left 4 Dead franchise, but… well, all you need do is look). That’s why Linda gets a spot on this list.
